Caribbean Stud
Poker is standard Five-Card Stud Poker with a slight twist: one of
the dealer’s cards is always displayed. Players compete against
the dealer, rather than other players.
Caribbean Stud Poker differs slightly in the United Kingdom, and
most parts of Europe, from the US. The game is officially known as
"Online
Casinos Five Card Stud Poker", and not all
online casino have the
jackpot prize. Those which do have the prize, usually the large
chain groups, officially call the game "Casino Jackpot Five Card
Stud Poker". In both instances, the game is commonly referred to
as "Casino Stud Poker".
The basic rules are the same in the UK as the US, although the
payouts differ - the maximum bet is generally £100 on the ante and
£200 on the raise, and all payouts are paid on the raise, meaning
the maximum payout can potentially be £10,000 (a Royal Flush pays
at the same odds, 50:1, as a Straight Flush).
Caribbean Stud Poker Tips :
-
Staying In
This one is pretty easy. If you are dealt two pairs or better, add
to your wager and stay in the hand. The premise is simple. The
dealer will only have a hand better than two pair once per 47
hands in theory. The probability of you winning is on your side.
-
Play that
progressive
If you get a straight, flush, full house, straight flush or royal
flush and the dealer doesn’t quality-again, it happens a lot-you
get paid nothing.
-
Nothing equals
fold
Again, a super simple tip to live by. If you have nothing in your
hand, fold. Why? Well, think about it. The only way you win is if
the dealer doesn’t qualify and that might happen say 30% of the
time. If that were the case, you’d have a 70% chance to lose and
you’ll only be paid even money on your Ante wager. Your Bet wager
gets nothing, but it can lose if you stay in.

Play it cool
Caribbean Stud Poker is a great game, but it’s not the best game
in the house. Have a blast, but never press up your bets thinking
that you’re “due” to win.
In Caribbean
Stud Poker the player has the choice to make a side bet of $1
which pays for hands of a flush or better. The specific payoff
tables vary from place to place but always feature a progressive
jackpot, paying 100% of the jackpot meter for a royal flush and
10% for a straight flush. In the very unlikely event that two
players had a royal flush in the same hand the first one to the
dealer's right would win the jackpot and the second would win
whatever the jackpot is reseeded to, usually $10,000. The reason
for this is the dealer pays players from right to left. In the
event that two players received a straight flush at the same time,
the first one to the dealer's right would get 10% of the meter and
the second would get 10% of what was left after the first player
was paid. I have heard (but can not confirm) that once in the same
hand one player got a royal flush and another player got a
straight flush. The player with the royal was closer to the
dealer's right and thus got the full jackpot amount. The meter was
then reseeded to $10,000 and the player with the straight flush
got only 10% or that, or $1,000.
