it is played with playing cards bearing poker hand values, instead
of Pai Gow's Chinese dominoes). The games of Pai Gow poker and
Super Pan-9 were created by Sam Torosian and Fred Wolf.
The game is played with a standard 52-card deck, plus a single
joker. It is played on a table set for six players, plus the
dealer. Each player attempts to defeat the banker (who may be the
Internet Casino dealer, or one of the other players at the table).
Pai Gow Poker Strategy Tips :
-
Setting your
Hand
In Pai Gow poker, you must set your hand so that your five-card
hand is stronger than your two-card hand. Beyond that, you are on
your own -- except you aren't really on your own, because you can
ask the dealer to set your hand for you. If you're not sure, you
should by all means take advantage of this option.
-
Banking
In many live casinos that spread Pai Gow, each player in turn has
the option to "bank," essentially to play against the other
players and book all bets. Any player who has the opportunity to
do this should take advantage of it, and players should bring
enough money to the table that they can afford to be the bank.

Pai Gow Poker has slightly different winning hand combinations
than other forms of poker. For starters, Pai Gow uses a deck of 53
cards. The 53rd card is a joker, or Wild Card. The joker can only
be used as an ace, or to complete three hand combinations: a
Straight, a Flush, or a Straight Flush. Another important
difference in Pai Gow, one that you should remember, is that if a
player's hand and the dealer's hand produce the same value, the
result is NOT a push. The dealer wins the bet. Sorry guys, but
that's just the way it is!
